Tim Hetherington_Photographer
Award - winning war photographer Tim Hetherington was killed on April 20, 2011 while covering the conflict in Libya. In 2007 Hetherington began a year long assignment following American troops in Afgahanistan's Korengal Valley, this assignment turned into a documentary called "Restrepo" that was nominated for a 2010 Oscar. I saw that film, it was intense and a bit hard to watch.. for personal reason - but I was glad I did, I didn't know he was killed. How terribly sad.
