Award - winning war photographer Tim Hetherington was killed on April 20, 2011 while covering the conflict in Libya. In 2007 Hetherington began a year long assignment following American troops in Afgahanistan's Korengal Valley, this assignment turned into a documentary called "Restrepo" that was nominated for a 2010 Oscar.
